About Ger

Ger Considine is an actor & film maker based in Galway / Dublin. The past year has been a
busy one working on Theatre, Film and Television projects in Ireland.

Poetry
In 2008 he initiated he Patrick Kavanagh Day in Galway. This involves reciting Kavanagh poems
by waterways in mid-July. In 2009 these events were held in the Galway City Library and Sheridan's Wine Bar and Ger was accompanied by Ide Ni Fhaolain on fiddle. See OVER THE EDGE post of 25th June 2009 for more info

Corporate Work
Ger's corporate activities have included work on a Nortel Networks Corporate Training video.

Since 2005 he has been engaged as a speaker at numerous GP Training Programmes for the Health Service Executive (HSE) - North Eastern Region. This series of Doctor / Patient role-play scenarios depects patients with specific medical histories and are used by the HSE as Training packages for General Practitioners in Ireland.

In 2006 he took part in a Still Photography Photo Shoot for a Multinational Pharmasuitacle client. In 2005 he took part in a Rugby Commercial for Heineken

Western Actors Database
Ger is listed in the Western Actors Database, which is available at the offices of the Galway Film Centre. It allows greater accessibility to actors for films and television programmes taking place in the West of Ireland. Murder Mystery
Ger worked with The Usual Suspects who perform Murder Mystery weekends in the Galway,
Mayo areas. These themed weekends comprise of complete entertainment packagewith
characters introduced at the beginning of the evening and continue to mingle with the guests for the rest of the weekend. The 'Murder' is solved on Sunday morning!.

Charity Work
As well as his performing activities Ger has undertaken some Charity work. In the was involved in the Galway Amphicat - Row on the River in aid of Guide Dogs for the Blind. He took part in the NORTEL Fashion Show in aid Western Alziemers.

Further Credits
Ger's further credits include.filming many training Videos for the University sector.
